What is the minimum size requirement for tumors to need a blood supply for growth?

Solid tumors generally cannot grow beyond 1-2 cubic millimeters without developing their own blood supply through angiogenesis. Beyond this diffusion-limited size, tumors require dedicated vasculature to supply oxygen and nutrients for continued growth.
